The difference of price between the gasoline version and the diesel version is no longer very high. Some of the vehicles are now at the same price regardless of the fuel type. However, in Europe, diesel is less expensive per liter than gasoline. Diesel is also widely available in Europe and you will have no problem when it comes time to fill up.
From an environmental point of view, diesel contains more pollutants than gasoline. Therefore, we are encouraging our customer to look to hybrid or gasoline’s versions.
No. You should have your own private travel insurance to cover loss or damage to personal belongings.
Also, you have to know that the keys, registration certificate or emergency triangle/vest you will be charged if there are missing at the time of return. A lost key will cost up to €200, registration certificate €200 and triangle/vest €25.
Never leave your car registration and key sets (both keys) inside the car. Vehicles may be equipped with an electronic key for the Keyless Entry and Starting system, if one of the electronic keys is left inside the vehicle, the central locking will not take place and the vehicle will stay unlocked.
To arrange an extension to your lease period, you will have to contact directly Citroën Car-2-Europe in Paris. Extensions must be arranged at least 5 working days prior to the initial end date of your contract. Note that your total lease duration cannot exceed 175 days.

It must be purchased by the customer on the web and is shipped to their address. Despite several contacts with the administration, it is still not possible to order it for a customer address located outside of France.
Since the TT vehicles being all new, they comply with the latest Euro 6 standards and are specifically identified as TT by the police, we are not aware of any customers being fined. However, until further notice, please note that Car-2-Europe would compensate any fine if it would affect our customers.
GERMANY: An Environmental Badge is also required in a growing number of cities and towns (known as 'environmental zones') throughout Germany. They can be obtained from most new car dealerships throughout Germany at a cost of approx. €8. We suggest you arrange this when you first enter a town/city that requires a badge, as ordering online is impossible without the vehicle registration document, which you are not given until vehicle collection.

Note that when you are booking your ferry, if you are asked for a registration plate number, please insert “rental car” as you will not know your registration plate number until you collect your vehicle. If you book a ferry that absolutely must have a registration plate number, contact us 2 weeks prior to your collection date and we will obtain it for you.
No. All vehicles are equipped with standard tires. Winter tires must be installed and paid for by the contract holder at destination and the vehicle must be returned with its original tyres.
2022 NEW FRENCH LEGISLATION: During winter (from Nov 1st to Marc 31th) for selected towns of mountain areas, the drivers will need to get winter tires or be able to show snow chains in the trunk. Yes, but only if you meet both of the following conditions: Have an initial contract of 30 days minimum and if you return your vehicle at least 7 days before the end of the initial contract.
The refund amount will correspond to the difference between the initial contract paid and the final contract length. A 20% withholding will be deducted from this amount by Citroën. Important: There’s no refund for short contracts (less than 21 days). In some cases, you may only be able to obtain a refund through your personal travel insurance policy.
