Lyon, a journey of History and gastronomy between rivers and mountains

The 2000 years of History can be found all around Lyon thanks to its rich architecture. Try to go to the traboules, the alleyways pass through several blocks, typical of the city, the hill of Croix Rousse, the historic district of workers, notably the Canuts, these weavers of Lyon. Come to the Maison des Canuts to offer you a pretty silk scarf, a local product par excellence. Taste local gastronomy like "les bouchons Lyonnais", bugnes, quenelles, rosette, because Lyon is the city of Paul Bocuse, 3 * chef, something to please you.

But do not linger too long between Saône and Rhône, the 2 rivers that cross over Lyon, and go on an adventure from St Exupéry airport where you will be picked up your lease. The city being located between the Massif Central in the East with its chain of dormant and green volcanoes which gives it all its charm and the just as much majestic Alps in the West, including Mt Blanc, the highest peak in Europe culminating amidst peaks and turquoise lakes, enough to hike and re-oxygenate in the fresh air. The car is therefore essential to travel the country roads but also to go further south in the Rhône Valley.
