Nantes, or a journey between Past and Present

Nantes, gateway to the Breton Country invites you to travel between History, Culture and Gastronomy. Go shopping at Passage Pommeraye and taste a wonderful cake from Nantes, then let your imagination run wild at Machines de l'Île and learn more about the History of the region by entering the Castle of the Dukes of Brittany.

The time will come to discover the surroundings to fully immerse yourself in the Pays Nantais and its region. With your lease, you will set off a few miles south towards Tuscany Clisson, a marvelous village with Italian architecture in the midst of Nature which will even allow you to take a ride on the water in a kayak. Then, head west to the medieval Guérande, pass through its great gates and enter the paludière city where you will learn how the most famous salt of the region is harvested. Don't forget to taste the sea asparagus.

Finally, drive your vehicle back to the Loire Castles (Chenonceau and Azay-le Rideau in particular) and the Royal Abbey of Fontevraud to admire the burial of Richard the Lionheart and Anne of Brittany by being guided to get to know the hidden secrets of the Abbey and go eat in the hotel's starred restaurant.
