Madrid, trip to the Royal Spanish Capital

Go to the Plaza Mayor with its architecture so symbolic of Spain, then take a walk in the Parc del Retiro and admire the Crystal Palace. Stroll along the various squares or traffic circle to see the Cybele Fountain or the Bear and the Arbutus tree and of course, visit the Prado Museum and go to the Royal Palace with its magnificent gardens. If it is a big blue sky, you will be dazzled by the whiteness of the building which will shine before your eyes.

But do not linger too long on the terrace after having tasted a good Madrid cocido or soldaditos de Pavía because it will be time to collect your car in lease at Madrid Barajas airport because the Madrid region is full of treasures to discover. So hit the road towards Toledo vestige of religious multiculturalism (Catholics, Jews and Muslims) and theater of the adventures of Don Quixote, then go West to Salamanca in Castilla y Leon where you will have to discover the festive nightlife and finally go down much further South to Andalusia to discover the Pueblos Blancos and an architecture rich in history that runs through the veins of Seville, Cordoba and Granada in particular.
